What is included in a Club Crate? How much is a Club Crate?
A Club Crate is a crate of fruit and vegetables – usually a selection of 10-12 differing items. Each Club Crate is $15. Our members with families of four or less find that one Crate is sufficient for a week; those with larger families often purchase two or more Crates per week.
Is Harvest Crate Produce Club only about produce?
We will offer other food items each week in addition to your $15 Club Crates. Some examples of our other items MAY be: case produce (apples, pineapples, carrots, etc), granola, oatmeal, breads, special themed items such as “Grill Pack,” “Baby’s First Blend,” “Fiesta Pack,” etc…
I’m not a fan of bananas / lettuce / avocados, etc…is the Crate still a good value for me?
We may occasionally have an item that isn’t your personal favorite. However, you are welcome to trade with a friend, or simply donate the items you don’t want or need. This is where the community of our club is so fun!
How do I purchase a Club Crate?
Please log in to www.harvestcrate.com each Monday morning starting at 8:00 a.m. CST. Shopping opens up to our members at 8:00 a.m. CST and closes on Tuesday at 8:00p.m. CST. You will then choose your the items you would like to purchase. Continue through the checkout process and don’t forget to create an account on the Billing Information page during checkout. Choose your pickup location and submit your order! If you have any questions or problems when purchasing on the site – email: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
What types of payment do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
How do I know the produce I get from Harvest Crate Produce Club is safe to eat?
We work with many providers, but most of your produce is the same you would get from your local grocery store. As always, you need to wash the produce properly and keep it refrigerated if appropriate.
It’s my first time to pick up my Club Crate! I’m excited, but a bit confused. What should I know?
The Harvest Crate Produce Club is all about fresh, quality produce! You will be treated like family and have a great time…With that being said, please understand that we all volunteer to make our club run efficiently. We do ask our members to volunteer with us every few pickup times. (If physical limitations keep you from volunteering, no worries – We have several ways that we could use your help that are not physically taxing. Please check with your Site Director.)
Some things to remember –
- Bring your enthusiasm and patience
- Bring your confirmation email either on a printout or your phone
- Come at the volunteer time if you’d like to help!
- Bring your own bag/box to carry your items home in.
- Gently transfer your produce to your own container to carry home (we reuse our Crates each week)
- Make sure you get all your items before leaving
- Check out your site Facebook page for further community and recipe sharing. If your site does not have a Facebook page, please feel free to join one of the other sites Facebook pages near you.
- Invite your friends to join you! We are the original fast food – share the good news!
What happens if I don’t pickup my Club Crate purchases in the 30 minute window?
Items must be picked up during the 30 minute pickup window after the noted pickup time or your Site Director will donate the items.
Something came up and now I have a conflict picking up my Harvest Crate. Can I have someone else pick it up for me?
Absolutely! If you are unable to pick up your Club Crate items, send a friend with your confirmation number, either in a printout or electronic copy, and they can pick up for you.
I have a concern about my Club Crate…who should I speak with?
If you notice something that you feel needs our attention, please grab the Site Director before you leave and chat with them. They will do their best to make the situation right or contact Harvest Crate.
I would love to have Harvest Crate be a part of my community. How?
